The Rosen Institute and the Rosen Metod Centar BiH are happy to invite you to Sarajevo for the next Rosen Method Global Congress. The Rosen Method community in the Balkan region has grown steadily with enthusiasm over the last 17 years. They are excited to share their city, cultures and dedication to the Rosen Method with the rest of the world. The congress will follow a 1-day Leaders Conference (October 4 & 5) and a 2-day Teachers Intensive (October 2 &3). The program has been created this way to make it as efficient as possible for travel from other continents.
Rosen Method in Sarajevo
In 2005, the Rosen Method came to Sarajevo with the first intensive held by Senior Teachers Annika Minnbergh and Yrsa Kjerrgren from Sweden. They were supported locally by two very engaged Balkan practitioner, Vehbija Peksin and Workshop teacher, Branko Nikolic. They were later joined by Certified Teacher Lotta Johansson and more recently, Senior Teacher Maud Guettler. This wonderful teaching team has been integral to the growth of the training and they have diligently supported the RM community in the Balkan region.
The Global Congress Organizing Committee
The committee is made up of members from the Rosen Institute, Rosen Metod Centar BiH and the Balkan Rosen Method community: Maud Guettler, RI Board Member; Lejla Mulic, RI Board Member (BiH), Mila Popovic, RI Board Member (SRB), Damir Saciragic, RM Intern (BiH), Annika Minnbergh (S) & Lotta Johansson (S), Sanela Feković (SRB), Slavica Slavković (SRB) and Claire Palo (CA). The committee is very excited to welcome everyone in Sarajevo.
The Program
The congress committee is dedicated to designing a dynamic and engaging program that incorporates a wide range of topics while acknowledging the theme of peace within the cultural and historical context of the Balkan region. The program will follow a traditional workshop format. View the Program and Schedule for more information about the workshops and general activities.
In addition to workshops, there will be two keynote presentations. These two presentations will delve into the theme of peace within the sociohistorical context of the Balkan region and the Rosen Method. The presentations will be engaging, interactive and are sure to inspire. More information about the keynote speakers will come soon!

The congress fee includes coffee breaks, lunches, and all congress materials. Also included is a farewell dinner on the final night at a restaurant in central Sarajevo, transportation to and from the restaurant and a guided tour of Sarajevo prior to the final dinner.
The Teachers Intensive is open to all certified and Senior Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement Training teachers. The Leaders Conference is open to all School Owners, one or two representatives from each RMPA, Rosen Institute Board members, and all ATG members.
The Hotel Hollywood
The Hotel Hollywood is located in the center of Ilidža, next to Sarajevo. Ilidža has a long history with many layers of civilizations dating all the way back to prehistoric times. Ilidža is known for its platanus tree lined boulevard and tranquil parks. There is a tram that easily connects Ilidža to central Sarajevo so that you can enjoy all the region has to offer. The Hotel has hosted many Rosen Method events over the years and the rooms and conference facilities are well suited to our needs.

Meals
The Hotel Hollywood will provide breakfast for those staying in the hotel. Congress attendees will enjoy a daily lunch and coffee break (included in the congress fee). There will also be a farewell dinner (included) on the final night, at a restaurant in Sarajevo (www.novabentbasa.com) with music and dancing to follow. Hotel guests will need to organize their remaining dinner meals; the hotel restaurant offers daily dinner service or guests can venture out to nearby restaurants and explore the city.
Due to the size of the event, only the following dietary restrictions can be accommodated: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free. Please be sure to let us know of your meal restrictions when registering.
Deposit and Return Policy
A deposit of €150 must be paid within 3 weeks of registration to hold your place at the congress. The remaining balance must be paid by August 1, 2023. Payment can be made via credit card or bank transfer. Cancellations will be handled in the following way:
- Before August 1st, 2023 – Full refund of the deposit and any balance paid
- After August 1st, 2023 – The deposit will be held
- If no cancellation is made and attendee does not attend, the full deposit and balance will be held.
Once you have registered, you will receive confirmation of your registration and an invoice for the congress and hotel fees via email.
Payment can be paid via PayPal or bank transfer. You will receive detailed payment information with your invoice.
